qvictoriabrown 16 Mar 2010 I have been sick twice while on Accutane and I took over the counter cough medicine, Nyquil, Theraflu etc. I cleared it with my derm and he told me no cold medicine will interfere or is unsafe to mix with accutane. I had to take some antibiotics too for a cold and both derm and pharmicist confirmed it was safe.

Yes you can take cold medicine. I have gotten sick twice while on accutane and have taken cold medicine and I usually can't get over my cold because it ends up being an infection so I took antibiotics while on accutane.
